The warm weather kept your #ETFD #Volunteers busy today. Engine 3, Rescue 4, Attack 3, Squad 7, and both ATV’s assisted Buena Vista VFC for a few hours at a large brush fire at the Mt. Vernon Ball Fields.
It is with deep sorrow and sadness that the Elizabeth Township Fire Department announces the passing of Life Member, Mario Rossetti. Funeral arrangements will be posted when they become available. Mario’s family is in our thoughts and prayers.

Just before 1pm today, the #ETFD and mutual aid companies were alerted to the 500 block of Howell Street in Elizabeth Township for reports of smoke coming from a residence. Once dispatched, updates were received from multiple callers reporting the possible fire.

Just before 10pm last night, the structure assignment was transmitted for multiple calls of a working structure fire on Sahara Street in the #Blythedale section of Elizabeth Township. 140AST3 (Harn) was first to arrive and confirmed the working fire dispatch in a vacant structure.
Today, your #ETFD members completed the final day of a 16-hour Pump Operations 1 course held here in Elizabeth Township. This was a great refresher for experienced pump operators, and a great learning experience for new (or aspiring) drivers.
This morning, members from various local fire departments attended our annual Hazardous Materials Operations Level refresher training at Station 7. This training is required for all #ETFD members on a yearly basis.
