One of the ways ETFD prides itself in helping the community is improving how we can respond to neighborhood needs. We realized that our fast response time is not restricted to using our firefighting skills helping in fires or vehicle incidents - we also handle medical calls.
It’s important to remember the meaning of community extends to others in need, even across seas. When we have the ability to help, the ETFD answers the call. In previous years, our department has purchased new gear and equipment to serve Elizabeth TWP residents and businesses.
Tonight your Volunteers participated in training on our new Dräger SCBA’s. This training provided our firefighters with the knowledge of how to use these life saving tools. These expensive pieces of equipment were purchased with the help of a Regional FEMA grant.
