Just after 2am, the 1st alarm assignment was transmitted for reports of a house on fire in the 600 Block of Industry Road. Units arrived to find a dwelling well involved. Units remained on scene for a few hours before returning to service.

Just after 3am, #ETFD units were alerted to the 1000 block of East Smithfield Street in the Boston section of the township for reports of a garbage truck on fire. Upon arrival, units found a large pile of trash that was dumped from the garbage truck on fire.

Units were dispatched the 200 block of West Newton Rd. for a motor vehicle crash with injuries. The first arriving units reported everyone was out of the vehicle and the vehicle had sustained heavy damage.

This morning 3/16/20 units responded to a single vehicle rollover accident on Rt 136 West Newton Rd. near Route 51. The occupant was self extricated upon arrival and transported to a local hospital for care.

The Elizabeth Township Fire Department this morning with a utility pole on fire next to a commercial structure on Wide Drive. A pickup truck parked next to the pole also caught on fire. Crews operated on scene for about an hour.

Tonight the ETFD is assisting Sutersville Volunteer Fire Department by staffing their station while they attend a funeral. We have an Engine crew standing by at Westmoreland County Station 11.

At around 9:30am today, we were alerted on the 1st alarm for a report of a fire in a residence on Industry Road in the Buena Vista section of the Township. 140 Assiistant 1 was fire arriving, and confirmed the working fire dispatch.

units were alerted on the structure assignment to Beechvue Avenue in the Blythedale section of the township for a report of a fire in a residence. First arriving units from Elizabeth Township Fire Department and Sutersville VFC made a quick knock on the fire.

The Elizabeth Township Fire Department responded to a vehicle accident with entrapment on Nichols Hill Rd. Crews worked for an extended period of time to extricate the operator. The truck had to be stabilized along with a large diesel spill mitigated during the extrication.
